EXPERIENCE

Apr 2009-Jan 2010 CARLSON COMPANIES – Contract

·         Wrote custom Oracle Form and Oracle Workflow for Vista Plus Service Requests. Also wrote shell scripts to retrieve service request information from database and generate commands to implement the request into Vista Plus Warehouse.

 

2007-Dec 2008  MONEYGRAM – Contract

·         Oracle Apps DBA. Member of a team responsible for deploying OIC and AR Settlement Oracle Apps Modules.  Wrote several shell scripts to support infrastructure in a Linux environment including RMAN backup and Oracle Apps cloning scripts. 

·         Responsibilities also included production support of AP and GL modules, and use of Enterprise Manager Grid Control for monitoring. 

·         Served as a technical resource for cvs administration and PPM (Kintana).  Wrote numerous PPM custom object types used for code migration.

 

Jan-Mar 2007    CARLSON COMPANIES – Contract

·         Vista Plus Administrator. Wrote scripts to retrieve report security information from spreadsheets and deploy to the Vista Plus Report Warehouse.

 

2006                 M. A. MORTENSON - Contract

·         Oracle Apps DBA.  Responsible for troubleshooting, performance tuning, and some System Administration in an Oracle Financials environment.  Modules supported are AP,AR,GL,HR,PA, and iProcurement.  Also responsible for training full time employees for DBA and System Administration roles.

 

2003-2005         HONEYWELL - Contract

·         Deployed Oracle Application Server on HP platform to support internet access for Oracle’s iSupplier module.

·         Upgraded PVCS to version 8.1 and deployed web access.

·         Installed Oracle Portal and Discoverer 10g on HPUX platform

·         Responsible for installation and troubleshooting of Nextlinx app for NAFTA

·      Designed and implemented automated process for auditing Oracle Applications user/responsibilities as required by Sarbanes Oxley.  System included extracts of supervisor information from Data Warehouse.

 

Summer 2003    JOSTENS - Contract

·         Helped deploy and customize Oracle Applications iSupplier module

 

1995 - 2002       HONEYWELL - Contract

·         Corporate - Database Administrator and Sysadmin responsible for support of a production ORACLE Applications system at Honeywell’s corporate headquarters.  Worked with end users and ORACLE support to resolve technical problems

·         HBC - Provided training and support for DBAs and for developers using Pro*C, PL/SQL, Forms 6.0, Reports 6.0 and shell programs to customize ORACLE Financials and Manufacturing applications.

·         Developed a web application to manage TARs and patch installations for 50 database instances using Oracle’s PL/SQL htp packages.

·         Developed a web application using Designer 2000 to facilitate password changes for Oracle Applications, Oracle RDBMS and Unix.  Used Perl to develop security drivers that allow developers to connect to servers without hard coding passwords.

·         Upgraded PVCS to version 6.8. Wrote makefiles, PVCS triggers, and shell scripts to enforce the use of PVCS and provide a consistent build process in production.

·         Responsible for installation, configuration and tuning of  BEA’s Weblogic Application Server used by MatrixOne’s Adept application.

·         Assisted Data Warehouse team in achieving true single sign-on to Oracle Portal using cookies.  Customized Discoverer’s XSL code to utilize user/password cookies.  Also helped build portal pages and provided portal administration.

·         Developed a table driven mechanism to restrict the view of sales information for data warehouse users, using Oracle security policies.  Developed an application to administer this security using JDeveloper and JSPs.

·         Member of a technical team that upgraded Oracle Apps from 10.7 to 11i.  Helped troubleshoot numerous problems including performance issues.  Integrated the following tools with Oracle Apps 11i:  Chain Link, Vista Plus, 170 Systems, ADI, Autosys

·         Presented at summer, 2002 TCOUG meeting on the topic of Oracle 11i patching

 

1994 - 1995       ALLINA CORPORATION - Contract

·         Conducted data modeling sessions with end users of hospital/clinic patient registration systems.  Goal was to allow medical facilities to share registration information.

·         Designed and implemented a concurrent, connection oriented server responsible for interchanging patient registration data between a hub and a DB2/6000 database.  Application used TCP/IP network sockets and  RDBMS stored procedures.

 

1986 - 1994       SIEMENS EMPROS POWER SYSTEMS CONTROL - Employee             

·         Designed and implemented a subsystem used to manage the structure and population of a real time database.

·         Database Project Leader on a team responsible for customizing and delivering a control system to Texas Utilities.
